How to substract two measures?

Hi,

I am trying to display a value in a card that subtracts two measures that are affected by slicers.

So basically I have a column of TotalSales and a slicer that has Dates in it.

Measure1 = Sum[TotalSales]

*This measure will be displayed in a card and it have a date slicer that will only interact with this measure.

Measure 2 = SUM[TotalSales]

*This measure will be displayed in a second card visual and have a separate dale slicer that will only interact with this measure. I am basically trying to show the sum value of TotalSales at different time periods.

Measure 3 = Measure 1 - Measure 2

*This will be displayed in a third card visual and the value should change according to the slicers in Measure 1 and Measure 2

Hello @immadahmad,

it won't work like this, you need to specify the filtering in the measure.

Thanks for the prompt response. Can you please help with rewriting Measure 3 in my problem?

Do I use FILTER? But with FILTER I will have to specify the exact dates I want to filter?

@immadahmad ,

Seems like you need one independent slicer

You need to have two slicer
