How to change date format in a report to YYYY-MM-DD

My regional settings in Windows are set to short date (YYYY-MM-DD), and PowerBI desktop is set to accept those settings.

I've tried reviewing old solutions, but I no longer have the Modeling tab > Properties option where you used to be able to change date formats. I also don't have any date settings options in the visualizations 'paintbrush' pane.

EG - Have some Earliest and Latest dates in a report that I would like formatted as my current Windows regional Short Date setting, which is YYYY-MM-DD.

My data set in the Data View has all columns set to this format. But, my report shows all dates as MM-DD-YYYY.

So, what am I missing here? This should be a simple formatting option that seems to be missing.

My current version of PowerBi is Version: 2.118.621.0 64-bit (June, 2023)

Thank you so much, this solved things. Not the most logical place for this to be, but so it goes.

I wish there was a more straightforward way to format a date in the Card settings in the visualization tab (where most users would likely expect it), but this works for now!

Agree, it's a bit hidden and you end up going into different places to get the best format, but we end up working with what we have 🙂

Can you share a screenshot of what you see on your Properties pane in Modeling tab?

I don't have a Properties pane in my Modeling Tab.

I followed some previous advice to try to make it visible in the Options > Preview Features settings, but I don't have any option to turn it on ( or possibly it was turning off a new hide tabs/panes feature - I can't retrace my google steps that got me to that advice...), like previous advice has suggested.
