Filter graph one level down based on selected slicer

Hi,

Is it possible to dynamically filter a graph based on a selection on a slicer. Here's the best theoretical example:

Firstly we have an hierarchial slicer of the following

SELECT ALL ->
Region (top level) ->
    Country ->
       City

And a graph that displays "Total population"

Lets say that if you had "Select All or Nothing" selected then the graph would filter by region level
So you Y AXIS would be

Europe || South America || Asia

 and your X Axis the count

if we wanted to drill further into this and see specific stats for EACH country inside of Europe. You select this on your hierarchial slicer and then the graph will populate the Y AXIS as the following

United Kingdom || Germany || Belgium

 Still having your A Axis as the count.

Going further you'd then drill down into country and filter by City.

Is this possible to do dynamically using a single Hierarchial Slicer?

Thanks in advance,

@Anonymous , not very clear,

The best you can do is have a field parameter - https://amitchandak.medium.com/power-bi-field-parameters-a-quick-way-for-dynamic-visuals-fc4095ae9afd

Hi, let me try add a little more context. (Field paramaters aren't what I am after)

Lets say I have a single graph on my dashboard. This graph currently measures the total population (Y) by region (X). So currently my Graph will display

              |
              |
              |
              |
Total Pop(Y)  |
              |
              |_________________________

                       Region (X)

So under region (X) would be

EUROPE || Asia || South America

 Lets say I introduce a Hierarchial slicer which has the following Hierarchies

[] SELECT ALL / ERASE (No selection)
   []EUROPE
      []UNITED KINGDOM
         []LONDON
      []GERMANY
         []BERLIN
   []ASIA
      []CHINA
         []BEIJING
      []INDIA
         []NEW DELHI

So my question is, using the above slicer. Can you filter a graph dynamically so it reacts to the choice of the selector. So for example

[] SELECT ALL / ERASE (No selection)
   [X]EUROPE                 <-- Slicer selection
      []UNITED KINGDOM
         []LONDON
      []GERMANY
         []BERLIN
   []ASIA
      []CHINA
         []BEIJING
      []INDIA
         []NEW DELHI

I choose europe. The then above graph will update its X AXIS to show all the countries listed within europe. So in the case of this slicer

United Kingdom || Germany

and the Y AXIS will update to the current population of those.

Further more, if i were to then drill down on UNITED KINGDOM. It would then update the X AXIS to cities WITHIN United kingdom.

Hope this clears things up
