Hi @phchu1226 ,

Please check the Oracle version. Due to you use Direct Query to connect to Oracle, search option will cause query from Power BI to Oracle.

One common cause for the error is that Power BI DirectQuery requires Oracle 12 or above. If that's not the case for your Oracle server many Power BI generated PL/SQL queries won't work.

Here is a similar issue like yours, you may refer to it for more details.

@amitchandak ,

Hi, yes, it is direct query, and I delete and recreate again, it is still error..

@phchu1226 , Seem like some issue with datatype of this one, does the database datatype support search?

I doubt that, but there can be few other reason

@amitchandak,

The search function of slicer is able to use while I am using import mode.

Is the search function of slicer support direct query mode??

Hi @v-rzhou-msft,

Oh, I am using 11c, finally I can know the root cause, thank you so much.

@amitchandak ,

I extracted the data from oracle and the datatype should be varchar..
