Hi everyone!
I have a question, is there any possiblility to disable the "Analyze in Excel" that POwer BI online offers?
Thanks!!
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi @MariaFlorenciaB,
You would need to turn off “Allow users to use Analyze in Excel with on-premises datasets" setting in Power BI Admin portal, and you also need to turn off “Export data” setting at the same time.
There is also a discussion about disabling Analyze in Excel in the following thread.

Thanks,

This is not a solution. This problem still remains. No easy way to block sensitive data in reports from being seen by others at an individual report or workspace level. Microsoft needs to fix this.
Is there a way to turn off the Analyze in Excel feature only and allow the Export Data function?
Unfortunately this is not available I don't think. There is an idea posted for this feature, pls vote it up if you are interested.
Thanks @v-yuezhe-msft ! Last question, this configuration works when you have the PRO version of Power BI? Cause I cant find it in the FREE version.
Thank you again!!
Hi @MariaFlorenciaB,
Yes. And please note that your account needs to be marked as a Global Admin, within Office 365 or Azure Active Directory, to get access to the Power BI admin portal.
Thanks,
Lydia Zhang
