Date Data Type gets disabled after joining date table to a fact table

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone experienced having the date column in the fact table getting disabled after joining a date table? When you removed the relationship it goes back again. I have explicitly changed the data type in PowerQuery when loading the data. it happens to another date column in the same fact table as well. TIA!
