I have 5 years training data. One of the fields is Completed year.
I'm putting together a donut chart that shows the count of Complete year(s) (ie. 1000 complete in 2022, 800 completed in 2021, etc)
I want the current year (2022) slice to have a red, the prior year (2021) slice Yellow , 2 years prior (2020) slice to have green.
My problem. How do i set "conditional formatting" so that the current year always has the same color. (i,e when i start pulling in 2023 data it is red, 2022 will go from red to yellow, and 2021 will go from yellow to green.
I woul prefer to use a donut chart, but if i have to move to a pie chart I will.
Thanks
@amtrakrob I don't think it is possible to do it on donut chart, neither on the pie chart because you don't have the option to use conditional formatting on the slices colors.
However, you can do it on an horizontal bar chart. Does it work for you?
Thanks for the reply.
I know about the bar charts, my customer note in the specs that he would strongly prefer no bar charts
You can try to build a costum donut chart using Charticulator or Deneb.
