Hello, I have a problem. I would like to create a measure allowing to make the comparison between two periods which are animated by filters. Here, my temporality is weekly (measure that I created).
As you can see there are two temporal filters which each animate the two tables and independently.
When I move one of the two cursors the data is updated. For example, if I move the cursor of the filter to the top left, the table on the left is updated and the table on the right does not change.
What I would like is to compare these data with each other through the filters. I made measurements to represent: measurement 8.2 is "zonier average (before)" and measurement 8.3 is "zonier average (after)". These metrics work but when and updates when I change filters.
The problem is that when I want to differentiate between these measurements, it doesn't work.
Indeed, in my measurement 8.4 the result is 0. Except that is incorrect here.
So I would like this metric to show the difference between these two time periods and update like the rest of the table.
Thanks for your help 🙂
The problem is that my table where I have my data and the same as my table where I have my dates. Do I have to create a calendar table to link the two tables?
It is very much recommended that your data model have a dedicated calendar table. In your scenario you will also need disconnected tables for your slicers.
I duplicate the table. But when I subtract period 1 minus period 2 it still doesn't work.
Check that your measures correctly grab the values from the two slicers.
Might be easier to help if you can provide a sample pbix.
No, all data are on a same table. I just created a column week thanks to my column date
Duplicate your fact and dates tables.
Have you duplicated your fact table and calendar table?
ok I'm going to create a calendar table to link the two tables. Do you think it's still possible to create a measure with two time filters on the slide?
