Continuous & Categorial dates for Graph

Hi fellow Power BI workers

I have a question about the x-axsis (date) for a graph.

Requirement:

* The type of date I work with in PowerBI is "YearWeeknr" ex. 202347, 202348, ...., 202401

* The date is a costum column that combines Year (string) and WeekNr (string)

NB: This is the best for my specific case, because im not interested in specific dates, only weeks.

* I only want to see Year and Week, I don't want a index-value for the "YearWeek" visualised in my graph.

Complication

x-axsis (Date) as a continuous x-line

PowerBI_Batman_1-1700816507911.png

  • As you can see there is a big gap between yearchange where there is no data, becuase it goes from 202352->202401 and 202452->202501.

X-axsis (Date) as a Categorical x-line

  • As you can see there a too many values visualised on the x-axsis

NB: the two graphs above has the same values for x-axsis and y-axsis.

What im looking for:

Im looking for a solution that has continuous values for the x-axsis but without the gap between yearchanges.

Im looking forward to hear your solutions 🙂

Best Regards
