Connect to SQL Server

Hi!

I have a issue when I try to connect a SQL Server.

Really, I don't know how to connect POWER BI to SQL database. Could someone please explain me how to connect to SQL Server step by step? 

I have the Database Server name and the Database name

Do you have the power bi gateway setup?  If you google "power bi gateway sql server" there are several docs on how to get everything all setup.

Have you tried to input the full dsn of this server (example: servername.domain.com) ?

Also, can you either ping this server or connect it using another program ?
