Cohort Performance but get difference between months and not from the first transaction month

Hi all,

So I've been playing around with this PBIX file provided by Linson Abah running Cohort performance this is great and I've created a version of this report for my own company.

You can download his PBIX file on github here https://github.com/databugs/cohort-analysis-with-power-bi/

There is one calculation that I want but I'm just unable to get the correct numbers. That is the movement difference between Churn rate and Retention rate between the months since first transaction. So see below image. This is the numbers I want:

So not the retention rate or churn rate compared to month 0 but the difference between the two percentages for each month since first transaction if that makes sense.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

@Mike282 , I have made a similar attempt

Power BI Cohort Analysis, Customer Retention %- https://youtu.be/qY1SDF1cwsg

Thanks @amitchandak . This is great and makes total sense. I've already been able to calculate these retention % already. What I'm specifically after is a measure that can calculate the difference between the rentention %.

I'd be after the % difference between Month 0 (the first purchase month) and Month 1 (the 1st month after their first purchase month) then month 2 then month 3 and so on. So if you take my screenshot in the opening of the thread. Let's take the December 2009 Cohort's rentention rate:

I've taken the first 6 columns of the first row and put it in a table below:

Month 0Month 1Month 2Month 3Month 4Month 5
100%35%33%43%38%

36%

What I'm after is the % or difference between the months. So from the above table I'd be after:

0-1 month1-2 month2-3 month3-4 month4-5 month
-65%-2%10%-5%-2%

Just can't get this measure to work.
