I have a multi page report and I want select period 1st Jan 2016 to 31st Dec 2016 on the first page, based on user selection via a calendar.
I then wish to go to page 3 and have the date range selected on page 1 to be carried to page 3. If I then change it on page 3 then this new date selection becomes the default report date range selection.
At the moment each page is not dynamicall aware of the selected date range.
I appreciate you can go to report filters and manually change the range, I would however want this selection to be through objects at the page level and having it link to the report filter.

It is not possible to do it currently. Here is a similar idea shared on Power BI Ideas. You can vote it up and add your comments there to improve this feature and make it coming sooner.

Thanks, I have added my 3 votes, now over 3,600 votes. At what point does this gain the attention of the PowerBi Product Management team. Without this the whole reporting logic fails and we will have to use alternative solutions.
Not sure how this functionality was missed off the list of fundamental requirements when designing the solution.
