I have a power bi report with about 30 rows. I have created information buttons providing more information about data in each row.
When the report is sorted in a different way, the buttons do not change positions, i.e. they end up on the wrong row. Can someone let me know (and how) if there is a way to fix specific buttons to each row in my report, so that if it is sorted in a new way, the buttons also change with the sort order.
Thank you
Paul

Hi, @poro95
Buttons in Power BI are separate visual elements that don't move with the sorting of tables or matrices. However, there are some strategies you can use to achieve similar results:
You can add a column, which can contain a URL or measure to represent your data.
Instead of setting buttons directly in the rows, you might consider using tool tips or bookmarks, where you can create bookmarks to capture the status of each row of detail in the report. More details can be found at the following link:
Create report tooltip pages in Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
Create report bookmarks in Power BI to share insights and build stories - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
If standard visuals don't meet your needs, you can find the right visual for you in the Power BI visualization marketplace.
