Can I use bookmarks to preserve the layer order?

Is it possible to set a layer order which a bookmark remembers? I have tried this with multiple options in the Bookmarks pane, but cannot seem to keep the layer order I set when I update a bookmark. Cheers

@ansa_naz following elements are saved when a bookmark is created and layer order is not one of it.

When you create a bookmark, the following elements are saved with the bookmark:

  • The current page
  • Filters
  • Slicers, including slicer type (for example, dropdown or list) and slicer state
  • Visual selection state (such as cross-highlight filters)
  • Sort order
  • Drill location
  • Visibility (of an object, using the Selection pane)
  • The focus or Spotlight modes of any visible object

I would  Kudos if my solution helped. 👉 If you can spend time posting the question, you can also make efforts to give Kudos whoever helped to solve your problem. It is a token of appreciation!

No, but you can save in the bookmark the visibility of your layers. So what you can do is to duplicate your buttons, for example, colour them diffrently and then just make visible the buttons you want to show in that stage. Then save or update the bookmark and proceed in the same way for the rest.

@ansa_naz what is the objective? Why you need to change the layer for bookmarks?

Lets say I arrange 2 visuals in a particular order using the Selection panel. Visual A is on top of Visual B. I dont want to hide the visuals. I want to create a bookmark which remembers this order.

Next I want to rearrange the visuals so that Visual B is on top of Visual A. Again, I dont want to hide any visuals. I want to create a bookmark which remembers this layer order

Is this possible?

@ansa_naz , The information you have provided is not making the problem clear to me. Can you please explain with an example.
But I doubt some option like that
Appreciate your Kudos.
