I need to compare weekly sale values for three categories of items. What i cant do is compare one week vs previous week only for the categories that have values. here is an example.
April | ||||
1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | |
red | 24 | 44 | 70 | 65 |
blue | 33 | 59 | 90 | |
yellow | 62 |
here i have 4 week sale values for three type of categories. I want to calculate the difference between the sum of sales of week 2 and week 1 but only for categories with values. In this case, red and blue have values in both weeks so the calculate must do the following (44+59)-(24+33) and disregard yellow for week 2 because there is no value for it in week 1.
Is this possible to achieve?

It is possible but it will require dimension tables because of the single 70 value - that makes it impossible to distinguish between cells and row totals.
