I have a table object, similar to the one displayed below. Ultimately, I want to be able to export filtered data from this table, so I don't want a matrix object (please, no teasing). 🙂
I would like the same background color for all of the consecutive rows that have the same value in the left-most column, and have the background color transition/alternate when the value transitions.
Avoiding crazy DAX to accomplish this is preferred.
Any ideas? Thank you!

Hi @GSquillace-EPMO ,
According to your description, I made a sample and here is my solution.
Create a column to rankx the left-most column.
color =
RANKX ( 'Table', 'Table'[Column1],, ASC, DENSE )
This will distinguish the consecutive rows that have the same value.
And then you can set conditional formatting -> background color for your left-most column.
Final output:
I attach my sample below for your reference.
