I have a few users that are getting this error "This report couldn't access the data source. Contact the author to have it fixed."
We are using an SSAS Tabular Data Model and have Azure AD Groups set up for access.
I have already tried troubleshooting below:
Is there anything else I can look into or try?
am facing same issue can anyone help me in this .
HI @mtran1210 ,
I am wondering if the users in particular are in the App Audience? I assume they are but am checking.
Do the users with the issue have a license to Power BI?
If this works for some users and not others I would tend to lean towards a permissions problem - what is the difference in the APP permissions between the users? AND/OR what is the difference in the workspace (or maybe even the report itself?) permissions?
Is the data source a custom one or has some permissions in it that is using named users and not a service account and therefore the users are not in the data source?

Hello @collinq ,
1. The AD group that the user is added to are in the App audience.
2. They have PowerBI Pro licenses.
3. In the workspace, the AD group that they are in has the Workspace Viewer permission.
4. We do have a Tabular Model Security layer which has that AD group added as well.
Hey @mtran1210 ,
How about the Data Source and/or the Gateway? is the DataSource set up and working? And, the Gateway is fine as well?
