Hi Gurus,
I have a Purchase Orders to Payments (P2P) dataset that has data for over 5 years.
1. A dataflow is created to import the above P2P data and is refreshed on a monthly basis.
2. A dashboard (report) is built using this P2P dataflow (and other dataflows)
Every month for the monthly refresh, I need to refresh the dataflow first (takes 4-5 hrs) and then dashboard (report) later (4-5 hrs). Is there a way to optimize this to do it at the same time or Are we doing it all wrong? Ours is a premium workspace.
Any ideas would be helpful.
Thanks!
I belive you alreay implemented incremental refresh in your dataflow, if not please do so, that will help reducing the refresh time drastically
Refresh sequance will be same as first data flow refresh need to be completed and then dataset refresh should trigger
You may use Power Automate or Power BI rest API to enable this functionality
You can refer below for same
