PowerBI Report working fine in Desktop but failing to display in service.

I have a DirectQuery report created connecting to a Synapse database. The report is working completely fine in Power BI Desktop however we have uploaded it today to the service and are getting an error on the single table visualisation as belo:

I have narrowed this down to a PIVOT on a column within a table - any ideas on why this wouldn't be working in the service as anything in the desktop version usually specifies when it is not supported by DirectQuery. Are there any workarounds?

Please check whether the credential for the data source on the Service is invalid
