PBI refresh error

Hi

I'm using an on-prem gateway to refresh my data but keep receiving the error below:

Data source error:The CancellationTokenSource has been disposed.. The exception was raised by the IDataReader interface. Table: extract.
Cluster URI:WABI-NORTH-EUROPE-redirect.analysis.windows.net
Activity ID:db587a1f-e7c4-68f8-4a0d-6141efc9999c
Request ID:3dbf4e4c-5859-06b2-5a2a-b19fd2f58da4
Time:2018-04-17 14:56:25Z

My gateway is online and I don't think I have any configuration issues. I've had a look around for the error online and wasn't able to find much. There isn't an issue with the data or the file as I've downloaded the pbix file from Service, opened it in Desktop and refreshed it without any problems. Could anyone advise?

Thank you

Hi @carpetwotsit,

Do you use the power bi c sharp sdk? I have a similar problem that caused by timeout.
The problem was solved when directly used the httpclient class with an increased timeout.

Hope it helps.

Thanks

Hi carpetwotsit,

From the information you have provided, it seems like there's something wrong with authentication, please check if you have configured the gateway instance completely in power bi service. In addition, whcih data source are you connecting to, if you are connecting to AS, you should configure user mapping.

It still fail, please post your gateway log here for further troubleshooting.

Regards,

Jimmy Tao
