Is there any way to monitor refresh timing? Not the last time the model was refreshed, but rather how long it took a table (or the entire model) how long it took to refresh?
For example, if one table is supposed to refresh normally takes 5-10 seconds, I want to monitor that and watch a visual that tells me how long it takes. If I see it took an hour to refresh... I know something is wrong.
Currently, you can only check refresh history if something issue occurs. It's not supported to monitor "live" data refresh directly on Power BI. You can capture the Fiddler Trace to see the requests interactions and monitor the underlying query execution from data source side.
Regards,
Running a fiddler trace would require me to always be watching. I was hoping for something more automated... like a system table monitoring a start/end for each table being updated/processed. This way I could have a graph of run times associated with each time and the entire process. So if I consistently have 5 minute run times I could raise an alarm if the run time exceeded 30 minutes.
For that to work, it would have to be automated though.
