Getting error in Export Report in Group API

Hi,

I'm trying to fetch the Report from Group and I'm getting the error. I have attached the screenshot of the error below.

ekimakIA_0-1637310873353.png

This Report PBIX size is 1.5 GB. And using the Export Report in Group API we are getting the error.

For other Reports, this API is working properly and we are getting the proper result. But only for this particular Report with size 1.5 GB, we are getting the error.

Hi,

Thanks for the response

What is the limit of the Export Report in Group API ? Is there any size limitation on this API to fetch the result?

Hi @ekimakIA ,

The limits apply to any caller of the Power BI API. The details on the limits are listed at the bottom of this article: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-US/library/dn950053.aspx.

Hi @ekimakIA ,

Please ensure the following conditions have been met.

Requirements

Always use the latest version of Power BI Desktop when you open downloaded files. Downloaded PBIX files might not open in non-current versions of Power BI Desktop. For example, you cannot open downloaded PBIX files using a Power BI Desktop version that does not support information protection.

  • You can download a file in either Reading view or Editing view, but you must have edit access to the report.

  • The report must have been created using Power BI Desktop and published or uploaded to the Power BI service.

  • The report you're downloading must be published or updated after November 23, 2016. Reports published earlier aren't downloadable.

Please check if use large dataset.

Keep in mind the following restrictions when using large datasets:

  • New workspaces are required: Large datasets only work with New workspaces.

  • Download to Power BI Desktop: If a dataset is stored on Premium Files, downloading as a .pbix file will fail.

  • Supported regions: Large datasets are supported in all Azure regions that support Premium Files Storage. To learn more, see Products available by region, and consult the table in the following section.

  • Setting maximum dataset size: Maximum dataset size can be set by administrators. Maximum value can be set from 0.1 GB up to the maximum capacity of the SKU.

  • Push datasets: Push datasets do not support the large dataset storage format.

  • You cannot enable large datasets using the REST API
