Get value from a single row value and store in variable

In Power BI Server / Power Query Editor: We have a single row value [Name] that represents a file name.  We would like to store this value in a variable so it can be later added as a column in a table. How would we create this variable please?

Not sure what you mean, if you have a single value you want to store in PQ, you can add it as a parameter in the UI. If you're trying to get it from a source table, then it's already a column in a table though, right? I guess if you needed to you could filter the table down to the specific value and keep it as its own query, but I'm having a hard time picturing what you're asking.
