How can I get this option to show? I am assuming it is the capability to download any report in the Service, even if it was NOT created with the desktop, correct? I have a report where the PBIX was created on the desktop but now that desktop report is lost. So was hoping the below option allows me to just download the report. Thanks in advance!

Hi @Razorbx13 ,
Download PBIX has some limitations. Please check if there are such limitations in your report.

have a look at this thread https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Service/Download-pbix-greyed-out/td-p/176265
This is something that your tenant admin needs to enable.
EDIT: I was wrong. I didn't catch the part where you were saying that it is a dataset that originated in the service. You might still be able to access it via XMLA endpoint to retrieve the meta data (connections and measures etc) for slghtly easier recreation in Power BI Desktop.
Do you have an image where to find it? I cannot find it. Thanks?
