Can't "Include my changes" When Sharing Content Inside Apps

I can currently do this with reports but don't see this feature for apps.

Your question is how to "Include my changes" when sharing content in Power BI Apps.  

In terms of what I've learned so far, you can't make changes to the content in the app.

I have the same report in the app but if I send them the underlying report link, they are able to use this "Include my changes" feature. So, when looking at the individual report and not the app, this feature exists. But when they look at the same report in the app, this feature does not exist.

If you are in an app and hover over a chart, select the ellipsis, and select share from there it will include your filters but when they arrive on the page that chart will be highlighted. It works for sharing something but the report sharing option is better if you need to link to a page in an email using power automate or something.

As you said, if you're just sharing a report, you can select the "Include my changes" option.

However, when you put the report into the app,  you can't make changes to the content in the app.
