Can I restrict the "Comment" functionality to a select group of users in Power Bi Service?

Hi community!

I have many 2 main questions, I hope you can help me:

1. Can I restrict the "Comment" functionality to a select group of users in the Power Bi service?
I know that  "Power Bi Service" allows you to "Enable and Disable" commenting functionality in your reports, but I would like to know if I can create "Comment Permissions" to allow commenting "only to a select group of users", and " the rest of the users" could only "see the comments, but not comment or edit", is that possible?

2. In addition to posting a comment (start a conversation), can you edit a previously made comment?

Hi  @Miguel_Rojo ,

Regarding your first question, as of my knowledge Power BI does not provide a feature to restrict the “Comment” functionality to a select group of users. The “Comment” functionality can be enabled or disabled for a report or dashboard. However, there is no direct way to create “Comment Permissions” to allow commenting only to a select group of users.

For your second question, Power BI does allow you to add comments to an entire dashboard, individual visuals on a dashboard, a report page, a paginated report, and individual visuals on a report page. However,You can only choose to delete your own comments but you can't edit your previous comments.

If you would like to suggest feature improvements, you may vote the idea Private Comments and Comment improvements and comment here to improve this feature. It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.
