SharePoint Online List to Power Bi Report Server Workaround?

Hi, I understand that Power Bi Report Server can not have a scheduled refresh of data from a SharePoint online list (outside of refreshing the data in the desktop application and reuploading the report to the report server).

Are there any workarounds?  I was thinking about utilizing Power Automate or some type of gateway.  I have never attempted those methods so any help or guidance will be much appreciated!

Hi @JaysYee ,

Power Automate can be used to automate the process of refreshing the data in a Power BI Desktop file and then re-uploading the updated report to the Power BI Reporting Server.

1.Set up streams in Power Automate.
2.Configure triggers to activate when items are modified in a SharePoint list.
3.Use the actions in the stream to extract relevant data from the list.
4.Push this data to a location that the Power BI Reporting Server can connect to (for example, a SQL database).
5.Schedule the flow to run periodically (for example, daily or hourly) to keep the data up to date.
