I am using the following formula to concatenate first and last name. However, it does not work when the last name starts with a slash (/). It gives me a null cell.
=[first name]&" "&[last name]
first name | last name |
/ No spend |
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Thank you! I replaced "null" (since the first name does not have a value/text) with space and it worked.
=([first name] ?? "") & " " & ([last name] ?? "")
Expertise = List.Accumulate( {Days as from Today}, {Skills and Knowledge}, (Current, Everyday) => Current & Day.LeanAndPractise(Everyday) ) |
Run a replace "/" with "" before the concatenation.
Thank you! I added the replaced the first name and last name values "/" with nothing step before concatenation but I am still getting null. Any idea why?
I'm not sure, but maybe try using Text.Combine vs &.
