SharePoint Excel connected to Power BI dataset, with the Excel automatically refresh?

I have created a table in a SharePoint Excel that is connected to a Power BI dataset that is updating nightly. Will the data in the SharePoint Excel also update when the Power BI dataset is refreshed?

End goal is I don't want to have to manually refresh the data because I am setting up a python script to populate a database table on SQL Server.

Hi @hsturm ,

As far as I know, mostly we need to open excel on SharePoint then click refresh to load new data. 

According to your statement, I think you want to set schedule refresh to your SharePoint Excel. 

Here I suggest you to try Power Automate to run flows on a schedule.

Ok thank you! Sounds like I'll have to add a portion to the script by opening up and refreshing through the desktop version.
