We are using matrix visual which has hierarchy on rows and columns both
Column has date hierarchy on it
Now we are looking for solution where we can sort by individual column
Say I have march 2023, Feb 2023, Jan 2023 on columns as part of hierarchy and I want to sort by Jan 2023 values.
I have tried various third party visual but most of them had performance issues or did not do sorting.
native matrix visual does not have sort capability.
What are my options? and is sorting by individual columns in work?
Hi @dilkushpatel ,
According to your description, here are my steps you can follow as a solution.
(1) This is my test data.
(2)Click "transform data" to enter the power query editor, sort the date columns in ascending order, and then add index columns.
(3)Select the date column and sort by the [index] column and then the result is as follows.
If the above one can't help you get the desired result, please provide some sample data in your tables (exclude sensitive data) with Text format and your expected result with backend logic and special examples. It is better if you can share a simplified pbix file. Thank you.
Best Regards,
Neeko Tang
