Hi,
If have a large dataset and want to limit the dataset to those rows interested in based on user input rather than bring everything in and then filter afterwards which would in any case exceed the 1gb file size limit in power bi pro.
e.g rather than import all calendar years - import just calendar data for year = year input by user
then import the sales data for that calendar year.
How can this best be achieved in power bi?

Thanks for suggestion - in our case the underlying queries would take way more than 30 secs thus direct query not practical for us in this case - we wish for the data to be imported in quiet hours.
Any other thoughts parameterised datasets based on user input with import mode?
