Which is better? Is it going to be Denormalized or Normalized data

If the volume of the data is huge in FACT table other dimension tables are small in size with only few columns. What form of data would be required if the model is star scheme or snowflake schema. We would need Denormalized or Normalized data?

Please suggest and give the reason also...

@pbiforum123 So, your fact table is generally best if it is denormalized essentially. That way you can connect your dimension tables to it and build out a star schema. That is generally best for speed and performance. So your fact table should be a wide table that lists the various dimension values (or ID's) on each row of data such as Date, Color, Category, etc.

What if in case the model is snowflake? Should it be Denormalized or Normalized data? I want to consider the best and suggest them.

@pbiforum123 I think you should read this: Understand star schema and the importance for Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
