What happens if I don't put good relation between tables

Hello, I worked long time with qliksense and I never put relation in my database.

I mean it was only identify with the name.

So what happens in future if I don't put good relation ( for example :  1 to star or   1 to 1  or star to star ...)

the relationship between tables so tables could read from one another.

The starschema model is for better performance.
