Waterfall Chart help

I'm trying to create a waterfall chart for a price, mix, variance analysis. I've already built out the measures to calculate each of the steps of the waterfall, but am stuck on creating the breakdown / category labels. I'm connected to a live PBI dataset so I can't add a new table myself. Is it possible to create this chart and the custom labels with live data? I've watched numerous videos and it seems like creating tables is the way to go.
