Hi @Recoba88

It's a little bit hard to help you without further information (source (Excel?) , screenshot of table etc.).

Ok,

is it possible that the reason is the files saved in office 2007 and I try to open them in office 2016  - power query

?

Hi @Recoba88,

Do you connect to the Excel 2007 file from Power Query in Excel 2016? If so, which format do you save the Excel file as, .xlsx or .xlsb?

Besides, please directly open the file and check if you get restricted Access message. Based on my research, the error could occur due to access restrictions.

Thanks,
Lydia Zhang
