Tooltips Not Updating

We are using latest desktop (2.56.5023.942 64-bit (March 2018)) on an SSAS Tabular source with Direct Query mode. In that configuration tooltips don't seem to work anymore.  The first time you hover over a visual the tooltip shows correctly but then from that point onwords the tooltips don't update anymore (even across report pages) and the tooltip shows incorrectly for all other objects.

Udpate 2/4/2018: I am now suspecting this is related to a non standard custom visual that we are using. tooltips work as long as an object from that custom visual is selected. From then they don't work anymore and show the same incorrect result.

Update 2 2/4/2018 This was very quickly revolved with an updated version of the visual.  Big thanks to the custom visual developers.
