SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR WITH EXCLUSIONS

Hi I have the measure below and want to then have the same measure but for the same period last year.

QTY YTD Ex Stud = CALCULATE(TOTALYTD([QTY Total],'Rolling Livestock Data'[Create dte]),'Rolling Livestock Data'[Sale Parameter]<>"ST-PVT")

I have tried the following but it doesn't work and just retuens the same value as without the exclusion of the "ST-PVT".
QTY YTD LY Ex Stud = CALCULATE([QTY YTD],SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR('Date Table'[Date]),'Rolling Livestock Data'[Sale Parameter]<>"ST-PVT")

Can someone explain where I am going wrong?

Cheers

Damon

OMG! know your data! After struggling with this I went back to my data and the reson for no change ws that there were no items to be excluded!

It is always something simple.

Thanks for Greg though for his time.
