Power BI Stops Working on Exit

Every time I exit Power BI desktop I get the "Power BI has stopped workgng" pop up. I tried uninstalling and reinstallng PBI and the fixed it for a short bit, but it came back. I've tried clearing the cache as well to no avail. Anyone have any insight on what might be causing it? Everything else works ok, it only happens on exit.

Check you have the latest version installed.

Dont download it and install from the web.

Uninstall Power Bi desktop and install it from Microsoft Store as an App.

Thanks! I do have the latest version installed, but I am not able to install it from the app store due to company admin policy - they have it blocked, unfortunately.

Check the version on the top menu.  Help / About = June 2022.

Some organisations force loading old versions which are not supported.

You company can create a software centre which is a mini version of Microsoft Store.

They can pick and chose which safe apps to add like Power Bi Desktop, but block games.

Try download an indentical version to another laptop.

If you dont get the same fault then it may be a problen with the Power BI version.

But if it works then your laptop looks suspect. Contact your suport desk.
