Power BI Paginated Report / Export API limitations

Hi guys,

I have a few questions about Paginated reports and the Export API for it.

1. In the Export API for PPU, paginated reports is limited to one call every 5minutes, per user. What does it change to if you are in a Premium Capacity?  Are there any limitations? or are we allowed to call the API every time the previous call is completed?

2. When it comes to concurrent requests, how does this work with Premium capacity? Of course in PPU, I can only make one call every 5minutes so concurrent requests doesnt work. But in Premium Capacity, if it is possible, what are the concurrent amounts?

3. The Export API is limited to 60minutes before getting a timeout error - If I use a 'Apply Each' loop in Power Automate on a Pagainted report, does this reset the call every loop? or does it carry on using the same user access token?

Thanks in advance for your help and I hope someone is able to help clarify the above.

Hi @shyammayhs,

In fact, the premium license has not released too many improvements to the rest API usage.

These changes are indirectly related to the license features.

For example:

Premium license increases the maximum timeout and refreshes schedule times limit based on its own specific refresh channel. So they will affect the refresh speed and excuate timeout of rest API usages.

For the performance and parallelism, they should be related to the capacity SKU and workloads:

Hi @v-shex-msft,

Thank you for getting back to me on this.

Oh that is a shame - so does that mean the API call time is still 5 minutes even on the Premium capacity?

Thanks,

Shyam
