Login-OnPremisesDataGateway is failing

I try to use Login-OnPremisesDataGateway, but after logging in, get this error

MethodInvocationException: Exception calling "AcquireToken" with "6" argument(s): "Could not load type 'System.Security.Cryptography.SHA256Cng' from assembly 'System.Core,
Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken..."

I'm not really sure what to do with that error message!

Thanks! Tried Powershell 5 - and connect-azuread works fine with it. But when trying Login-OnPremisesDataGateway, am getting a different error at least:

Method invocation failed because [Microsoft.IdentityModel.Clients.ActiveDirectory.AuthenticationContext] does not
