Line chart help

Hello

I need to create a line chart that shows the sales per year per month

check below and advise on how to accomplish this in power bi:

Hi Ali,

 

You have to do the following in order to get the view you want:

- Choose the line chart visual

- Put your sales under values and choose their sum as a summary

- Put your date under legend and choose date hierarchy instead of the actual date so you only get the years

- Create a calculated column Month = Format(Table[Date], "MMM") so you extract the month of your dates

- Put the new column Month under axis

 

It worked for me on a dummy data, let me know if it works for you as well.
