Line Graph showing data where there shouldn't be any

Hi there,

I'm trying to build a trend graph over time to show the development curve in the number of applications received through a year.

For the y-axis I have a DAX measure that is giving a distinct count of the unique IDs. For the x-axis, I have the month names, which I have added in through an index table as I want the month names in a specific order. This table is joined to the data table through a date field. I've then added in a legend that splits out the different years. I'm expecting to see four curves and then just one data point for the current year as we're in the first month of counting but the graph is showing a cumulative total for this year against all months, per screenshot below (solid line at the bottom is the current year).

I can't work out where I'm going wrong, any ideas?

Thanks
