I would like to take the average of the revenue, however, when I select 'average' or make an average measure with DAX I get a strange outcome.
As you can see the average is 9,730.29.
The expected outcome in this case should be: 38,921.27
Could also someone explain why Power BI calculates it this way?

Hello @Niels_T ,
it's kind of hard to say anything with that amount of information.
Can you post the tables and measure you are using? Best case, can you provide a sample file?
Usually DAX is simply calculating the average. If you need the average per row you have to use the AVERAGEX function. But as I said withoutany information it's hard to help you.
If you need any help please let me know.
If I answered your question I would be happy if you could mark my post as a solution ✔️ and give it a thumbs up 👍
Best regards
