Hi,
We currently run an Azure Analytics Services tabular model (level 1500) which has a number of hierarchies defined. Each is a ragged hierarchy of up to 10 levels all with the [Hide Members] setting set to 'Hide blank members' (as per https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/analysis-services/tutorial-tabular-1400/as-supplemental-lesson-ragg...)
However, wherever the hierarchy is used in the Power BI desktop (matrix, slicer, etc) blank rows continue to be shown where hierarchy levels are blank.
Excel seems to honor this setting, but it seems Power BI Desktop does not. Is this the case?
I did find this reference from 4 years ago, but is this still valid?
https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/2017-Ragged-Hierarchies-supported-in-Power-BI/m-p/439184
I know DAX Patterns has a solution using DAX, and this might have to be my fallback, but I would prefer to use the model setting if that can be honored by the desktop.
Thanks
