Help with filters/slicer creation

I have a model where as follow.  Will need to push this in a table. What the best way to transform so user can easily select the category bucket ie salary, supplies or something else in filter slicer. Let say for instance more future date with more data, user can trends out their desire expenses or category they want to see. Thank you everyone for their ideas and suggestion.

Total Exp = SUM of Salary + SUM of Supplies + SUM of Prof Services.

you want to user to be able to select between, salary , supplies, ... . . in a slicer ?

if that so, you can use field parameter feature.

if this is not what you want , please share in a visual representation . it would be helpful .

If my answer helped sort things out for you, i would appreciate a thumbs up 👍 and mark it as the solution

Hi @Tevon713 ,

Please check all the other columns in PowerQuery except the category and then unpivot the other columns.

Thanks @Daniel29195. Tried parameter it didn't change the visuals. Typically if in slicer it would filter to selected, with parameters nothing happen display every category. See below if that make sense.
