Having multiple lines on line graph using Maximo kpihistory table as the data source.

I am new to Power BI (just started yesteday) andd need some help on how to add multiple kpi histories to the same graph as the way I am currently doing it will only allow one.

I did look a one video but they seemd to have more options - I am using the free verison.

I am using the kpimainid, Date and Total columns from kpihistory table and need to be able to reference multiple kpimainids for my graphs.

I have imported an excel sheet with the ID , Name and Description.

How do I join the kpimainid from kpihistory to ID in the excell sheet?

I should also point out that I am using a direct connect to my sql database.

Hi @stefgiorgi 

If you expecting mulitiple lines for example for each "kpimainid" you need a line then drag and drop the kpimainid column into legend section of the visual.

I have one other question as the kpimainid is just a number i.e. it doesnt have the description of what it represents, can this be renamed?

Hi @stefgiorgi 

Yes. You can create one more column with whatever name you want to give for each ID and use that column in the legend. You also can define the ID and name in excel and get the excel inside the POwer BI desktop and join with ID column and use that name column.

IAfter what you said I realise I already had the kpimain table as a direct connection so have made the join with that. All now working as I need.
