Environment required for using power BI in an organisation

My organisation has offices 365 account, currently we are using tableau reports on sql server datawarehouse (ON premises).

We want to evaluate power BI,i have some question, hope you guys help me figure out.

1.Do i need to setup any seperate server to run as we do in tableau..?

2.Is it free use for office 365 account..?

3.when i publish the report to web service, will the dataset gets uploaded to cloud(If yes, please give me some links, article for refernce)..?

Thanks,

Dasari

1. No, unless you need to refresh on-premises data from the cloud and then you need to install a gateway service (can run on any computer and is free to use)

2. Yes but you can also purchase a Pro license for $9.99/month

3. Yes if you use import when you connect to your data. No if you use DirectQuery but you would definitely need the gateway at that point and you would need to have a Pro account.
