Doubt about the terms of use of the free version of Power BI Desktop

I am using Power BI Desktop without publishing it on the internet, only on my notebook. However, I am using a spreadsheet with information from the company I work for as the data source for the dashboards, and I use the dashboards for presentations in meetings at my workplace. Is it allowed to use the free version in this way?

Hi @Abelvilas ,

Adding to @PijushRoy  reply:

Based on your description, utilize a spreadsheet of company information as a data source for the dashboard. Whether you are creating reports or just viewing PBIX files on a laptop, no license is required.

If you want to publish to the web to show your report, then publish to web is available for free license users. report

Great! Is there any Microsoft documentation that confirms this?

Hi @Abelvilas

Yes, you can register for Power BI Trial and publish the report in web.
You can present the report in meeting from your account.
For sharing report with other, you and report viewer require Pro license.

Let me know if that works for you
