Direct Query Mode Create Month & Year from date field and display date with order

Hello ,

As per my anaysis Format function doesnt supported in direct query mode. I have create month year column(Jan'2017,Feb '2017...) one of the date field column. I am able to create it using Month,Year,Switch functions, but My challanging is need to display the monthly and yearly data with Order.  It would be great help if I get any suggestions on my requirement.

My Trails:

I have used If condtion like"(MontN0<10,"0"&MonthNo,MonthNo)" - Getting error messgae not support Dax in Direct query mode.

Please do the needful
