Data refresh takes too long (Can we just refresh the query without refreshing the data)

Hi,

I have multiple files linked to power bi report, and I have appended few of the files in the query. There is just one files which gets updated with the data and hence it needs refresh, however other files do not need refresh. So I have diabled refresh for those files in the query editor.

Is it possible to run the query without refreshing the data, as I noticed that If i do not refresh the appended query (i.e. if i have diabled the refresh) then it doesn't changes the data in the query, and the refreshing of data from CSV files takes too much time.

Any help is appreciated.

You will either want to use the XMLA endpoint to specifically refresh individual partitions or you may want to consider using incremental refresh.
